Making money while working out sound too good to be true? Well, it is really happening for all the users of the Sweatcoin app!

As you can see, you really can make some (virtual) money to reward your exercise efforts.

So what else is great about Sweatcoin?

The rewards are constantly changing. From Aaptiv workouts and new apps to wearables and even iPhones. Therefore, you do not need to be disheartened if you are not a fitness-junkie that racks up miles in no time, there is a reward for everyone. 

1,000 steps = 0.95 Sweatcoins. Many Fitbit users out there aim for 10,000 steps per day and so you could be earning 9.5 coins a day.

Let’s do some maths and see what you could win and how many steps it would take you to get there, starting with the more affordable prizes such as an Aaptiv workout.

An Aaptiv audio workout costs 15 Sweatcoins and so you only need to do around 15,800 steps in order to get yourself this free, motivational workout. 

A Misfit Shine 2 Wearable is obviously more expensive at 1,949 Sweatcoins, however, at just over 2,051,000 steps, it is still doable. It may sound like a totally unreachable number but, in reality, it is walking 10,000 steps every day for 205 days. That is walking alone, imagine those days you go out for a long run. These will seriously contribute to your Sweatcoin count.

At 20,000 coins, understandably the iPhone is far more expensive. Yet, what we need to remember, is that Sweatcoin is not made to make it easy to be rewarded for your exercise efforts. Exercising and getting in shape is not easy. It is a challenge and Sweatcoin want to challenge you to get out of your comfort zones. It is created to help motivate you to get out and exercise more frequently. 

Donate Your Coins

 

Another amazing feature is that you can donate your Sweatcoins. Not only can you send them to a friend that is perhaps extremely close to an amazing prize but you can also donate them to charity. So you will feel great for exercising and even more ecstatic when you give back to those less fortunate than yourself.

The Slight Downside

 

Depending on the membership you are on, you are limited to the number of Sweatcoins you can earn in a given day or month. The most basic membership lets you earn up to 5 Sweatcoins a day or 150/month and the most premium membership allows 20 coins a day or 600/month.

Do not worry though, the app is still theoretically free, you upgrade your membership by paying a monthly Sweatcoin subscription charge. This will motivate you to get and out do more each day!
